Foods to Avoid When You Have a Stomach Ulcer

An ulcer could be a sore that develops within the lining of the abdomen, or within the 1st part of the small intestine. Yours truly battled with ulcer for over eight years before getting a hang of it. Now I know the do’s and donts.

A right diet for ulcers and gastritis is a meal plan that limits foods that irritate your stomach. Some foods are notorious for worsening symptoms such as stomach pain, bloating, heartburn, or indigestion.

What food should you avoid or desist from eating?

Whole grains are good for you

You can eat:
• Fruits
• Vegetables
• Whole grains and
F• at-free or low-fat dairy foods.

Whole grains include whole-wheat breads, cereals, pasta, and brown rice.

You can also choose lean meats, poultry (chicken and turkey), fish, beans, eggs, and nuts. A healthy meal plan is low in unhealthy fats, salt, and added sugar. Healthy fats include olive oil and canola oil.

Go for some chicken and turkey

However, avoid eating right before bedtime. Let there exist a difference of about 2 or 3 hours between your meal time and your bed time. It helped me to eat small meals frequently rather than gulping down a whole elephant. You might want to try that too. Your stomach will feel less irritated.

Be well.
